Narcotics, new psychoactive substances or synthetic cannabinoids – to stop the distribution, dealing and consumption of drugs, police and customs have to detect the substances as well as the basic materials for their production on the spot. Handheld analytics support responders with fast, reliable results.
The new 1064Defender is a mobile Raman spectrometer for the identification of narcotics (BtM). It detects drugs, precursors, precursors and blends. To enable the user to obtain good results even with fluorescent substances (e.g. ecstasy pills), the instrument has an integrated laser with a 1064 nm wavelength.

Innovative 2-stage measuring mode

The "Screening" measurement mode classifies the substance into one of 3 possible categories: Alarm, Warning or Clear (non-hazardous). If necessary, the identification mode can then be used to determine exactly which substance is present. The database contains thousands of chemicals. Additional modules are available for expansion (e.g. to explosives), which can be retrofitted if required. Thus, the analyzer always fits the application scenario.

Analyzer supports follow-up

Beyond analysis, the 1064Defender simplifies the entire official process after the discovery: gathering evidence, reporting, communicating with other agencies and coordinating measurement results. To ensure profound evidence management, the device has various data transmission options. Communication is purely web-based via the IP address of the device. This is particularly secure and stable. Moreover, no additional software is required.
