FEnX-T – Metal Analyser

Alloy analysis has never been so easy – with dynamic mode for best results

The new, mobile X-ray fluorescence spectrometer FEnX-T analyses metal alloys more easily than ever before. The user no longer needs any prior analytical knowledge. This is made possible by the unique dynamic mode. It automatically determines the base metal, selects the correct settings, finds the ideal measurement strategy and optimises your workflow. Just a few seconds after triggering the measurement, the user can read the composition of the alloy from the display.

The spectrometer is suitable for analysing all metals, such as stainless steel, aluminium, nickel and copper-based, super alloys, etc. Equipped with a graphene detector, the hand-held device achieves low detection limits even with light metals. It analyses quickly, accurately and completely non-destructively and is at home wherever metals need to be quickly identified and their composition reliably tested, e.g. in metal recycling and quality control in metalworking companies.

Convincingly robust handheld spectrometer

The FEnX-T Protector is a detector protector integrated into the analyzer. It protects the electronics and detector from mechanical damage. The camera in the measuring head is used to precisely position the measuring spot. A second camera in the handle enables complete objects to be recorded for documentation purposes. Both images are linked to the measurement and can be displayed in the analysis reports.
The combination of touch screen, control pad and real buttons allows unrestricted use of the analyzer in the rain, with gloves or oily hands.

The mobile XRF spectrometer FEnX-T is a joint development of analyticon instruments and Fondis Electronic and is manufactured in Germany and France. This enables fast and reliable production and service times.

Advantages

  • Dynamic mode
Alloy analysis has never been so easy. The user no longer needs any prior analytical knowledge. With the new dynamic measurement mode, the FEnX-T automatically determines the base material such as iron, aluminum, copper, etc.. It automatically selects the correct filter settings and measuring times. Simply trigger the measurement and read the material designation and exact alloy composition from the display.
  • Predefined workflow
The FEnX-T optimizes the individual workflow and thus simplifies daily work. The administrator can predefine workflows and adapt the analysis area, measuring times and device settings precisely to the user's individual tasks and requirements.
  • PC software & reports
The FEnX-T works with analyticon's own "cobra data collector" software for data management and reporting. It ensures easy, reliable and traceable documentation of results. When the analyser and PC are connected via USB or WLAN, reading starts without having to press any button on the PC.
  • Incredibly robust
Durability was a top priority in the development of the FEnX-T. A device intended for use in scrap yards and industrial environments must be able to withstand heat, dust, rain and sharp objects. The spectrometer is therefore protected against dust and splash water in accordance with IP54. The FEnX-T Protector protects the detector and electronics of the device.
  • Optimized ergonomics
Everyone works differently – the FEnX-T takes individual needs into account and enables three types of operation: control pad, touchscreen and navigation buttons.
  • Fast, high-quality support
The analyticon instruments service team supports users with free personal telephone support. All repairs are carried out at the site in Germany. Customers receive feedback on their repair within a very short time. The patented Octopus X1 calibration robot adjusts all spectrometers to a consistently high quality.
